Before purchasing Grand Theft Auto VI The question arises: Is the Standard Edition sufficient or is the Ultimate Edition worth it? Rockstar leads both editions for PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X|S.

The Standard Edition contains the game. The Ultimate Edition also includes a digital upgrade with extras that complement different areas of Jason and Lucia’s history. Rockstar mentions vehicles, weapon variants, clothing and hairstyles, garages and additional shops and places. The complete list is in the official overview.

According to Rockstar, those who initially choose the Standard Edition can purchase the Ultimate upgrade separately from the PlayStation or Microsoft store. Buyers of the standard physical version can also upgrade after redeeming the download code. A physical Ultimate Edition is not currently offered.

Which edition fits better depends on whether the additional digital content is interesting for you. If you only want to play the main story, you will find the Standard Edition as an introduction. If you want to collect and use the mentioned extras, you can compare the Ultimate Edition. You should check prices and availability directly in the store of your platform.
