One month of GTA+ can be automatically extended

When buying Grand Theft Auto VI digitally, there is an added bonus: Whoever gets the digital standard or Ultimate Edition before 20 November 2026 buy, can receive one month GTA+ at no extra charge. The month must be redeemed via the respective store. For PlayStation, according to Rockstar, there is a redemption until 31 March 2027; Microsoft has to work within 180 Days after purchase.

It is important to look at the extension: After the free month, GTA+ will continue monthly at the then applicable regular price if the subscription is not cancelled. If you only want to use the included month, you should therefore check the next billing in the store after redemption and turn off the automatic renewal in time.

Where can GTA+ be cancelled?

The termination will take place in the store where the membership was redeemed or purchased. Depending on the platform, this can be the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Store, Epic Games Store or Steam. After the automatic renewal is switched off, membership and benefits will normally remain active until the end of the period already running. For questions about deadlines, the terms of the respective store apply.

If you are already a GTA+ member, Rockstar says the bonus month will be attached to the existing subscription and will postpone the next billing date by one month. Also note: GTA+ is a membership with changing benefits for GTA Online and a game library. Rockstar Doesn't Have the Free Month as a Special GTA6Game content extension.

In short: The free month is not automatically a permanent free subscription. Check the renewal date and manage the membership directly in the store where you redeemed GTA+.
